Transformational Life Coaching in Encinitas & San Diego
You've done the work. You've read the books, pushed through and yet something still feels off. You're still not living the life you desire or you are running on empty, trying to hold everything together. Maybe you're navigating a major transition, a divorce, a career shift, an empty nest, or a health scare. Maybe you've achieved everything you thought you wanted and still feel disconnected. Maybe the stress, anxiety, and sleepless nights have become so familiar you've forgotten what it feels like to be at ease in your own life. If any of this sounds familiar, you are in the right place.
Ready to explore what’s possible?
Most coaching focuses on goals, mindset, and accountability. Brad's approach goes deeper.
As a certified Wayfinder Life Coach trained through Martha Beck's ICF-accredited program, Brad Tunis helps clients access their own intuition, moving past the 'shoulds' and 'supposed tos' to reconnect with what they actually want and who they actually are. What makes Brad's coaching genuinely different is what he brings from his work as a clinical hypnotherapist, breathwork facilitator, and mPEAK mindfulness coach. Most of the patterns that keep us stuck, like chronic stress, anxiety, self-doubt, difficulty sleeping, and emotional reactivity, are not mindset problems. They are nervous system problems. Brad works at both levels simultaneously. Strategic coaching gives you direction and accountability. Hypnotherapy, breathwork, and mindfulness tools create the subconscious change that makes it possible to actually follow through.

What to Expect Working with Brad
Coaching with Brad begins with a complimentary consultation to discuss where you are, what you're navigating, and whether this approach is the right fit for you. Brad works with clients looking for a life coach near them in Encinitas and throughout North County San Diego, as well as virtually with clients nationwide. Each session is approximately 60 minutes long.
Coaching packages provide structure and accountability over time, with sessions typically scheduled weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your goals and pace. Packages include session time, between-session support, and specific tools tailored to your situation.
Brad will discuss what structure makes the most sense for your situation during the initial consultation.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Transformational life coaching is a structured, forward-focused process that helps you identify what's keeping you stuck, clarify what you actually want, and take meaningful steps toward lasting change. Unlike therapy, which often focuses on healing the past, coaching focuses on creating the future with accountability and support along the way.
-
Most life coaches work primarily with conversation, goals, and mindset. Brad integrates hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and breathwork into the coaching process, which addresses the subconscious patterns that often block change at a deeper level. This means you get strategic direction and accountability alongside the tools to actually follow through.
-
Coaching fees vary depending on the structure that makes the most sense for your situation. Individual sessions and coaching packages are available, and we can discuss investment and options during your complimentary 15-minute consultation. The consultation is free, there is no obligation, and it gives you a chance to ask any questions before making a decision.
-
This varies depending on what you are navigating and what you want to accomplish. Clients working through a specific transition or challenge often find meaningful progress over a shorter period, whereas those who come to coaching as an ongoing practice for personal and professional growth tend to work with Brad over a longer period. Brad will give you an honest sense of what he recommends for your situation during the initial consultation, and the structure can always be adjusted as your work together evolves.
-
Both. Brad offers coaching sessions in person at his Encinitas, California office, which serves clients throughout North County San Diego including Carlsbad, Del Mar, and Solana Beach. Virtual sessions are available for clients anywhere in the country and are conducted via secure video. Many clients find virtual sessions particularly useful during periods of health challenges or major transition when travel adds unnecessary friction to the process.
-
Coaching is focused on growth, change, and creating a more aligned future, while therapy is
primarily focused on healing emotional wounds, treating mental health challenges, and
processing the past. Coaching helps people break through limiting belief patterns, build
momentum, and follow through on meaningful personal or professional goals.
-
That depends on where you are and what you are ready for. Coaching works best for people who are genuinely ready to take action and make changes. If you are in a period of real transition, carrying chronic stress, or feeling the gap between the life you have and the life you want, coaching can create significant and lasting change. The clients who get the most from working with Brad are those who come prepared to be honest with themselves and to do the work between sessions, not just during them.
